This past weekend we had a trunk or treat at the church. Our church building is really small. I must say that it was pretty wired to have a Halloween party in the same room as we have sacerment meeting. There were a bunch of games to play and good food to eat.It was so fun to dress Derick up as a pirate. I think Russell had more fun with it than I did. I was able to make his costume for $3. I just got the dollar a yard material from Wal-Mart and made it up. But Russell did not think that the the costume was complete with out an earring or 2. So he spent way more on the magnetic earrings then I did on the whole costume.
I must admit he was way cute. I found his hook and knife at the dollar store. He absolutely loved playing with them.
I made his eye patch out of some felt and elastic. I thought that he would take it off for sure but it did not seem to bother him.
Derick is getting to be so much fun. He is also turning into a Daddy's boy. He loves to be with Russell. It is great to see.

Melissa, I'm not kidding, I almost died when I saw Derick. His costume as absolutely adorable. I'm going to have to remember that when I have my own little boy. I loved it!
